The Price-Harris PTO board is made up of six officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Room Parent Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator. Here are the officers for 2010-11:

In 2010-11, Price-Harris PTO board meetings will be held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:15 p.m. in the school library. The exceptions are Dec. 15 and March 21, as school is not in session on the fourth Tuesdays of those months.

The Price-Harris Parent Teacher Organization helps fund many projects around the school every year. Your participation, by volunteering or participating, helps Price-Harris teachers and staff get the materials they need to help our kids.

Each year, classroom teachers and other staff members may spend up to $150 from PTO discretionary funds. PTO also supports Field Day and performing arts events, as well as teacher/staff recognition and numerous other Price-Harris activities.

Highlights of where PTO funds went in past years:

2009-10

Free Price-Harris T-shirt for every student.

Free spaghetti feed for students and their families at Open House.

Free year-end yearbooks for all students.

Free water bottle for all students at Field Day.

More than $9,200 raised for the Choi family.

More than $3,500 raised for new library books.

2008-09

Free Price-Harris T-shirt for every student.

“Breakfast With the Principal” get-together.

Recognition trip to The Alley for third, fourth and fifth grades after state assessment tests.

Computer for the new Broadcasting Lab.

Two television monitors for Price-Harris’ main entrances.

Interactive teaching clickers for each child in a classroom. Students click answers, enabling teachers to see who may be struggling with a lesson.

Listening table for a kindergarten classroom.

Flip video cameras for numerous teachers.

2007-08

Laptops for each of the third-grade classrooms.

Smart Board and digital projector for tier support and small group support.

Thermal binding machine for the second-grade team.

Wireless HP Photosmart printer for kindergarten classes.

HP all-in-one printers for two classrooms.

Class pictures for every Price-Harris child.

2006-07

The moon bounce/walk used by Latchkey, Field Day and the annual Carnival.

2004-05

New playground equipment, a culmination of years of fund-raising.
